Jackson, MI – May 1, 2020– Home2 Suites by Hilton is proud to be of service during this global pandemic by hosting the essential workers of the Parnall Corrections Facility. As the correctional staff has the potential to be exposed to the COVID-19 virus, and the prevailing fear is of bringing the virus back to their families, the Home2 Suites stepped in, giving them a home away from home while the correctional staff continues to provide essential safety services. This also gives them the peace of mind that they are providing protection to their families.

While it is a difficult time to be quarantined from loved ones, the Home2 Suites is able to offer some of the comforts of home. They have spacious suites with kitchenettes, full size refrigerators, microwaves, and dish washers. The patio with fire pit allows for some much-needed relaxation space and gas grills allow guests to take advantage of the warming weather, take a break from carry-out, and flex their grill skills.
The safety of their staff and guests is always top priority for this hotel. Due to the current situation they are being even more cautious: staff are not allowed to enter “stay over” rooms to provide cleanings. Linens and other guest amenities are swapped out as needed at the front desk. Any cleaning supplies and other comforts of home that can be accommodated are provided as well.
Rooms that do check out are held for 24 hours before a thorough deep cleaning is performed. Hand sanitizer stations are available for guests and staff, along with gloves and masks. Disinfecting protocols are followed religiously to maintain a safe environment in all common and operation areas.
Despite some of the limitations put in place for safety (the pool, fitness, and breakfast table areas are temporarily closed), the staff at the Home2 Suites are still focused on providing outstanding service to their guests, with special touches like Individual “grab and go” breakfast bags and coffee available in the mornings.
